🏆CC🧭🔵 | Self-Growth | Navigating Life Shifts by Sinking Into Your Internal Center Teach Clear, 12/16/201911/07/2026 There is a specific kind of 3 a.m. that comes when everything is shifting at once. The job is ending. The money is tighter than it should be. My child is growing in a way I did not expect, and the shape of our days is changing, and I do not have a map for this. And the mind does what the mind does. It starts the list. What if the income does not come. What if the course does not land. What if I am doing this wrong and no one will tell me because no one is watching. What if, what if, what if. And the list has no end, because the mind is not built to solve the future. It is built to solve the next step. And the next step, at 3 a.m., is not available. So the body pays for it. The jaw. The shoulders. The hands that are clenched under the blanket. I wake up at 5:40 and I am more tired than when I went to bed. And the day starts in the body before it starts in the mind. The mind is not the anchor I have tried to think my way out of it. I have opened the laptop at 6 a.m. and tried to “figure out the plan.” And the plan is not there. It is not there because it is not a thinking problem. It is a body problem. The body is in a season of change, and the body does not read a spreadsheet. The body reads the breath. The body reads the floor under its feet. The body reads the specific, quiet fact that the kitchen is still the kitchen. That the coffee is still hot. That the table is still the table. And that is enough. For the next ten minutes, that is the whole thing. Ten minutes. Not a technique. I sit at the kitchen table. I do not close my eyes. I do not play a sound. I do not “set an intention.” I just put both hands flat on the table and I breathe. In. Out. In. Out. And I let the list run. I do not fight it. I do not solve it. I just let it run, and I put my hands on the table, and I feel the wood under my palms. And after a while, the list gets quieter. Not gone. Quieter. And the body unclenches. The jaw. The shoulders. The hands. Ten minutes. That is the whole practice. Not an app. Not a course. Not a “guided journey.” Just the table and the breath and the fact that I am still here. You were here before the storm The shift is real. I am not going to say “it is all an illusion” or “the universe is aligning.” The job is ending. The money is tight. The shape of the days is changing. All of it is real. And all of it is on the outside. I was here before the job. I was here before the money got tight. I was here before the child was born. I was here in the basement, writing on receipts. I was here in the car, stopping to write on a napkin. I was here before any of this. And I am here now. The storm is in the window. I am in the kitchen. And the kitchen is not the storm. That is the center. Not a place you go to. Not a state you achieve. Not a “pristine quiet space that God placed in your soul.” Just the fact that you are still you, underneath all of it. The same you who was here when it was quiet. The same you who will be here when it is quiet again. And when the day asks for the next step, you will know it. Not because the mind solved it. Because the body will unclench, and the hands will open, and you will sit down at the table, and you will do the one thing that is in front of you. That is the whole thing. 🎧 If you would rather listen to this one, the audio is here.
