🏆 CC 🧭 🔵 | Self-Growth | Ten Minutes Before the House Wakes Up Coach Clear, 06/25/201811/01/2026 You gave all of it. The morning. The lunch. The “where are my shoes.” The “I do not want to wear this.” The “can I have a snack.” The “I do not want to go.” The “I want to go back.” The “I do not want to.” The “I want to.” The same sentence, four times, in four different tones. And you did it. And you did it again. And you did it again. And by 6pm you were dry. Not “tired.” Dry. The thing that is left when you have given every drop and there is no more. And the “I need 10 minutes for myself” voice said: you do not have 10 minutes. You have 47 things to do. The dishes. The laundry. The email. The “I need to figure out what we are having for dinner.” And the 10 minutes did not happen. And the next day it did not happen. And the next day. And the “I need 10 minutes” became “I do not have 10 minutes” became “I do not need 10 minutes” became “I am fine” became “I do not know who I am when I am not doing the thing for someone else.” You are not a tool. You are not a machine that takes in the “where are my shoes” and outputs the “here are your shoes.” You are the person who was in the kitchen floor. Who stopped the car. Who wrote on the receipt. Who is still here. And the person is not the tool. The person is the one who needs the 10 minutes. The 10 minutes is not “self-care.” It is not “recharging your energy.” It is not “watering your roots.” It is: you sit down. Before the house wakes up. Before the “where are my shoes.” You sit down. And you do not do the thing. You do not answer the email. You do not “get ahead” on the dishes. You just sit. And you are the person. Not the caregiver. Not the teacher. Not the “who.” Just the person. And the person is enough. And the person does not have to earn the 10 minutes. The person does not have to “deserve” them. The person just sits down. And the 10 minutes does not have to be “peaceful.” It does not have to be “quiet.” It does not have to be “meditation.” It can be: you sit at the table. And you drink the coffee. And you stare at the wall. And you think “I do not know who I am.” And that is the 10 minutes. And that is enough. And the person is still here after the 10 minutes. And the person is the one who gets up and does the “where are my shoes.” And the person is not dry. Not all the way. Not yet. Because the person sat down for 10 minutes. And the person is still in the room. This is part of Coach Clear. The slow, honest work of finding your way. coachclear.net 1. Inner Growth, Learning, and Creativity (PFJs Blog) 5.
