You do not need another tool.

You have the one you are using. The one that works. The one you opened this morning and did the thing with. And it is enough.

But the “not enough” voice says: there is a better one. There is a new one. There is one that will make the thing go faster, look better, feel more right. And you open it. And you set it up. And you spend an hour figuring out where the button is. And the thing you were going to do is still not done. And now you have two tools instead of one. And two folders instead of one. And two versions of the file. And you do not know which one is the real one.

The tech is not the problem. The “I need the right one” is the problem. And the “I need the right one” is the same voice that says “I need the right purpose” and “I need the right plan” and “I need to figure it all out before I start.”

Close the tabs. Not all of them. Just the ones that are not the one. The one you are using. The one that works. Keep that one. Close the rest.

One folder. One tool. One file. Not four versions. Not three subfolders. One.

And the thing you were going to do? Do it with the one you have. Not the better one. Not the new one. The one.

The quiet is not in the tool. The quiet is in closing the tabs. The quiet is in the one folder. The quiet is in the “this is enough and I am doing the thing with it.”
